About AYN

The Studio and the Tradition

what is Ashtanga Yoga Naples?

The Studio

Ashtanga Yoga Naples was founded on passion and experience.

Amy Lucky and Joshua Yearout, co-directors of AYN, complement each other in knowledge and skilled teaching. They are devoted to creating a safe learning space that will inspire you to become a teacher of your own practice.

Three Pillars of AYN

Student Centered - You are like none other, you have your own skills, fears, intentions and history. At AYN we are completely dedicated to seeing and teaching you as an individual.
Traditional Methods - No matter the current trends and newest yoga craze, AYN has chosen to teach according to the traditional methods as handed down from teacher to student for generations.
Teacher Empowerment - If you are 200, 500, or 1000-hour trained or are just feeling a call to teach, we are committed to providing a path to empower, inspire and educated the teacher within.

tell me about

Amy Lucky

Amy knows how the practice permeates all of life. She takes the work seriously and lightly at the same time, using movement patterns as boundaries and leaving space for discovery.

My yoga passion springs from the teaching of teachers. In the current paradigm, yoga teachers have been certified and left with inadequate knowledge and skills to be competitive in an over-populated industry. My work is to provide the keys that fill in the confidence-gaps that hold you back. Teaching Mastery is within your reach.

I have been trained as a Vinyasa teacher by Jonny Kest at Center for Yoga in Detroit, MI. This training was a window into furthering my path with Ashtanga Yoga and Meditation. My educational background includes a Master of Science in Physiology. A subsequent career in neuroendcrinology and developmental biology continues to inform my yoga teaching today.

Josh Yearout

Joshua's classes will encourage and inspire you to see the poses not as the end in themselves but as a tool to challenge you into discovering the true life-changing work of yoga.

My passion to teach rises out of the changes and developments this practice has brought to my life. Early in my journey I discovered AYN in its own infancy. The community and the method provided fertile grounds for developing a regular and devoted yoga practice.

From this devotion to practice came a desire to study. Since then my thirst for knowledge and desire to continue to hone my art has not ceased. While I consider the world and all people my teachers, my first teacher was Amy Lucky who continues to teach and inspire me to this day. Since 2017 I have been studying consistently with Greg Nardi of Ashtanga Yoga Worldwide and am humbled to have had the opportunity to work under his direct guidance as I completed a 1500-hour year-long Apprenticeship.
